Our Story

Everyone’s life has been touched by the mental health epidemic, either directly or indirectly. This means that almost everyone has their own story about how it has effected them. We believe that all these stories are important, and have decided to provide a space for people to share them if they so choose. Every story on this page has been lived by someone. If you would like to share yours, please visit the Your Story page.

Thank you.

Zach’s Story

Zach was fourteen when he was faced with a sadness he couldn’t explain. He reached out to his mom, and she began searching for professionals who could assist her in helping Zach with his struggles. These struggles included depression and anxiety, eventually leading to addiction and much suffering during the crucial formative years. With support from his family, friends, and doctors, Zach was able to find the resources and help he needed. With new awareness and knowledge, he has been able to protect himself and live a better life with renewed hope and goals for a bright future. In the wake of this progress, Zach lost his dad, mentor, and best friend to suicide in 2023. This loss changed Zach’s direction and created in him a great desire to prevent others from losing a loved one to suicide. Although his father also struggled with his mental health, he always loved Zach and his brother, as well as helping other children. Now Zach wants to perpetuate the love he received from his dad by helping youth and young adults who are also struggling. The most crucial period of intervention for many of these mental health struggles is in childhood and young adulthood.

Sadly, Zach is not alone in this experience.

Millions of people every year are effected by suicide and mental health problems. It could be your friend, your family, and even yourself. That’s why we at The Revivify Project are striving to fix this problem and help children and young adults before they might need it, so they have the tools to live mentally healthy lives well into adulthood.

Let’s do something about it.
